In the Odyssey, Ulysses is described as a cunning and ingenious anti-hero, who uses words rather than the sword to solve the problems that arise during his journey. Starting from this assumption, Ulisse Studio visual communication and identity revolves around an ingenious use of lettering and typography (letters and words) as the main graphic element: for instance, both the letter envelope and the poster (an end-of-year gift for customers) are covered by what it seems to be just a delicate pattern of very small letters, which is in fact the entire (readable) text of the first book of the Odyssey. Or again, on the home page of the website, the word Ingegni (part of the studio's payoff, Ingegni Visivi), which is a palindrome, by rotating graphically demonstrates its mirror structure.
